Potty Training Resources

When I did a Google search for Potty Training sources I was surprised with how much information there is out there for this very important milestone that every baby must pass through.

If like most parents you want to make sure this is a stress free time for your child or if you know a parent who has a child at this stage you may want to read on.

I have attempted to gather some of the latest references that will help parents select the most useful tools that are out there to make potty training fun and painless.

Books on the subject

Potty Training in One Week

An interesting thought is what it must have been like back when you were being potty trained. It must have been a time of anxiety and glee, frustration too. But I'm sure that there was joy as your parents reveled in your learning and you gained a sense of accomplishment. I know my daughter seemed to want to make mommy and daddy happy, and she enjoyed when we told her she was moving on up. As she learned more and more each day. But as it is, most of us feel like we can use all the expert advice and guidance we can get.

Dry All Day Potty Training Skills Workbook

This book is packed full of activities. It subscribes to that idea that they best way to get your little one interesting in "going potty" is to make it fun. It includes a short comprehensive Parent's Guide that is an overview of the entire toilet training process. It gives parents several different methods and clues on how to know when the child is ready as well as ways to avoid problems during and after training.

There are several skill-building activity pages for parent-child interaction - younger children, with guidance, can use these fun cartoon pages like a storybook; older trainers can use them to reinforce motor skills and self-esteem while learning about using the toilet. Also find several potty training CHARTS, SONGS, CRAFT IDEAS, STICKERS and a GRADUATION CERTIFICATE! All provided to make it fun.
